  • Hi,

    DPM has a 4GB tape catalog limit.  This problem is fixed in DPM 2012 and we have a test private available for DPM 2010 that will allow you to overcome the catalog size limitation when backing up to tape.  The private fix has a prerequisite of having the latest DPM 2010 rollup fix 2615782 installed.  Since the fix is not yet made public (scheduled to be in the next DPM 2010 rolliup fix in July), you will need to open a support case to get the fix.  You will not be charged for the support incident, however we need the case so we can track who has the private.

    I'm downloading KB2615782 now, should I open a support case to get the fix?

  • Hi,

    Yes, the version shown in the information screen for DPM should now say 3.0.8180.0 after installing KB2615782 - so if that's the case, then yes open a support incident and ask the DPM engineer for the private fix for content ID 2298513.

    Hi,

    Just trying to make clear here, so even though i applied KB2615782 i still need to open a support incident for private fix for content ID 2298513? So KB2615782 doesn't solved this error "The operation failed because of a protection agent failure. (ID 998 Details: The parameter is incorrect (0x80070057)"?

  • Hi,

    Yes that is correct, you need to open an incident to get the private.

    <snip>
    The private fix has a prerequisite of having the latest DPM 2010 rollup fix 2615782 installed.
