Restrict users from changing Meeting Options in Outlook RRS feed

  • Question

  • How can we restrict users from changing Skype for Business meeting options in Outlook 2013?

In our pool, CSMeetingConfiguration setting "AdmitAnonymousUsersByDefault" set to TRUE. The default settings are as below. We want to restrict users from changing the below options for all meetings, or at least disable "Remember settings" to allow users to change to particular meeting, not for all their meetings.

    Thanks in advance...

  • Hi Tek-Nerd,

    Thanks for your response.

According to my research, I couldn’t find a registry key or policy to make the option to grey and let user can’t modify the setting.

If you want to modify the meeting the option, you could use the command Set-CsmeetingConfiguration, here is a document for your reference

  • Which settings do you WANT to be default for both options?

  • No restrictions for both as default

  • You will want to run:

    Set-CsMeetingConfiguration -DesignateAsPresenter Everyone -AdmitAnonymousUsersByDefault $True

As usual, you will want to test this to ensure it works as you expect it.

  • Hi Tek-Nerd,

    Agree with Tyler.

As a supplement, after you run the command, please also check if CMS has the latest update

  • The settings already there, however it will not restrict user to change from their outlook. We need to restrict users from modifying the default settings...
