Update resource pool automatically RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, every time I save my project I have to answer a question in a pop-up window if I want to update my resource pool. I always want to do this... is there no way to set this as a default and skip the question?

No, there is no way to skip the dialog.  This is just how Microsoft Project works with a shared resource pool file.  Hope this helps.

  • valgarbur,

Dale answered your base question but here is an alternative. Although I haven't tried it, you could write a Close Event macro that automatically updates the resource pool file each time you close the sharer file - no pop-up. Setting up an Event based macro is a little more complicated than creating a normal macro, but it's fairly straightforward and might be a viable approach.

    Just a thought.
