How to view my wiki's section RRS feed

  • Question

  • Sorry if these being dumb questions. I'm new to wiki section. I just posted a wiki article and it directly went to publish state. There was no option to go a draft or preview mode. Is this normal? On my request moderators unpublished a wiki and now I cant seem to find it.

Also how do I view my created wiki's. Is there a url or link to refer to. Because when I open TechNet wiki section, there is no link for it like it comes if I go to forums/gallery section.

    Thanks Mohit

  • As I recall, when you first create a Wiki, you can either click to "Save" or to "Save and Publish". I never tried the first, but I assume it saves the article as a draft only you can edit.

You can find your article on the Main Wiki page, listed under "Recent Activity", assuming not much time has passed:

    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/

Or, you might find it clicking on "More details on recent articles" on the main page, and selecting the "My Pages" tab.

If much time has passed, you will need to search, using the search box on the main page. But I always include my own tag for my articles, unique to me, so I can do a tag search to find the articles I published. You can add tags at any time. For example, the url to find all of my articles is:

    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/tags/rlmueller/default.aspx

where my personal tag is "rlmueller". Many people have similar tags for this purpose.

  • Thanks Richard for information. I'll update tags to identify articles created by me. However it should have a section for this purpose. That would have been great.

Regarding publish and draft mode, I could not find any button to publish/un-publish article or preview it. It just directly goes to publishing it. Am I missing something?
