Is there a place to get a list of the Forefront definitions that have been released between specific dates? RRS feed

  • Question

  • My Boss has requested a list of definitions that Microsoft has released for Forefront between 2/15/2010 and 3/3/2010.  Is there a place that lists the definitions that are released?

  • Do you have access to your WSUS server?  If so it's relatively easy to see the list of updates in there.

Are you looking for just the signature versions if so than WSUS can give you that ie 1.75.774.0 was released on 2/16/2010 1:54AM.

Or are you looking more for a list of threat X was updated on date Y?
There is a definition change log at https://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Definitions/WhatsNew.aspx?package=AM&Release=Released&Version=1.77.667.0 however I'm not sure that it goes back very far.  With the drop down it only does about 10 signature sets or so however the URL has the version#'s in it it may be that you could manually plug in version#'s there from WSUS to get further back ones but I'm not sure about that.
