Reviewer Notification - how to add Service Request Affected user to email notification

Hi all,

Have a Notification workflow and template to send an email to the reviewers of Review Activities.

Would someone be able to help me add the Service Request affected user to that email template?

I have a few options and tried alot without success.

Hi John:

Great Question. In your situation, the SR is the "Parent" to the RA. If you want to grab that Affected User in the SR and place into the RA email template, Im not sure that possible in the console workflow engine given the relationship and data model. You Can grab data properties from the parent work item and place them into MA/RA emails as showing in my blog here: http://scsmguru.wordpress.com/2012/05/01/using-data-properties-from-the-parent-work-items-in-activity-email-templates/. Just substitute the CR with SR class. But the problem you may run into is that you are limited to the "Work Item" properties and there is no relationship in there that specifies the "Affected User". Just basic stuff like "Title, Description, Work Item ID, etc"

Your situation may better be set up through Orchestrator which gives you more relationship mapping. Travis just released a blog on dealing with relationships in SCORCH.
