How do I re-create the sccm client depoyment package? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a problem. My SCCM Client package was deployed to my DP and it has vanished from my packages folder.

The status says it's in progress and that I need to manually copy it across.

But seeing as it's not there, I can't do anything about it.

How can I re-create the client package that SCCM creates for you?

    Thanks

  • Just create a regular ConfigMgr package with C:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\Client as the location for the source files.

Then create a progam using ccmsetup.exe and whatever installation switches you may require.

    Then distribute to your DPs.

  • Thanks.

I ran into a problem where I may have needed to re-create the Client Package.

I'm hoping that I don't have too. But if I do, I will use your method.

It's something that I've never come across until now.
