SCCM 2012 - Primary Site Installation in a existing hierarchy

Hi,

During Primary site installation the setup is unable to retrieve the site code from the specified central administration site server. Verified that the,

Primary site server is a local admin on CAS

User account is local admin on CAS and SysAdmin on CAS SQL
User account is full administrator on CAS
User account is local admin on Primary and SysAdmin on Primary SQL

Windows firewall is disabled.

Please help on this issue.

I've seen this .. when I was in the page “Specify Join the primary site to an existing hierarchy” and provided the FQDN of the Central Administration Site (CAS) server.

I would recommend to verify the prerequisites checks I mentioned in the following post.

What does the setup log say (will be in the root of the C drive)?

Have you verified name resolution both ways (CAS->Primary, primary->CAS) for both the short name and FQDN?

Is the CAS a local admin on the primary site server?

Hi Jason,

Yes I have verified the name resolution both ways and CAS is a local admin on Primary site server.
