deployment of template(.mpt file) RRS feed

  • I am new to the whole project server thing and need to deploy a construction template on my PWA. So i downloaded some templates from office.com for project server2010(.mpt) on to my desktop. Now how do i deploy them.

  • Hello. You should be able to open them up in Project Pro while connected to you Project Server environment then click Save As, give it a name, change the Type to Template. Then Save. Paul

  • Thanks for helping me. Its working fine now, is there any way that i can open my projects in Project Professional from another system that doesnt have project pro installed in it but it is under the same domain as the system that i have project pro on.

  • Hello, providing you Project Professional client is compatible then yes, you just create a connection / account for the Project Server system in project pro, close project pro. Open project pro and connect to the new account and open the projects. What version of Project Server do you have on that domain? Also what version is your Project Pro? Paul
