OData Data Feed Error in Excel 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am using Project Online. Since the past few days I am getting the following error when I try to pull the Project Online data into Excel pivots using the OData Data Feed.

We couldn't get the data from the Data Model.

An error occurred while reading the OData Feed.

I see the above error message when I try to pull the data for the Tasks tables. It is working absolutely fine for Resources, Assignments and Projects tables. Can anyone please help me sort this out?

Any sort of help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Regards,

    Chinmay Rajput.

  • Perhaps you have some custom fields that are using reserved words? Note: if you create a field named "project id", for the odata feed, it will remove the space, giving you a name of projectid, which would then conflict with an existing name. See the following for more info:

  • I had an issue after a recent auto update to Excel 2013.

    You could try this hotfix

  • Thanks Christopher.

I had the same issue earlier and it got fixed after installing the hotfix.

This issue is not related to the hotfix.
