MSFT Template - Room & Resource Booking RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am using the resource booking template from MSFT, trying to figure out how it knows that there is an existing booking on a particular time and date, it stops you from adding the same date, anyone know how ?

  • Hi,

I am not quite sure but you can create SPD conditional workflow in which you can assign If condition which checks date overlapping and automatic cancel that event.

To create SPD conditional workflow please refer

    Hope this helps.

  • Out of the box, as it were, there is no checking for this and the only good example I found was this one http://www.codeproject.com/KB/sharepoint/SharepointReservation.aspx which allows you to check for double bookings.
