AD pictures on account login

    Question

  • Hi all, 

    Has anyone deployed the following GP

    * Getting AD pictures into windows logon profile i.e. when the user logs into the machine win 8, 8.1, 7, 10 his AD profile picture should be visible in his account picture on the windows logon page or when he locks his screen.

    I tried the following

    but still not able to get AD picture when user logs in to the machine.

  • Hi Thads,
    First of all, please make sure that the group policy is applied successfully on clients, you could run gpresult /h command to confirm it.
    Based on my understanding, the method combined several scripts, you may need to check if each script is running well as you requested by running each one manually. And you could check if you have set up proper permission as mentioned in the link.

  • Hi, 

    the login script works fine when the user is a local administrator on the machine. 

    In our environment - User's are not to be given local admin rights. 

    In this case how to get the script running at logon when a user's logs in 

    I can share the GP settings as well as the login script in .ps1 format if you want.
