ie 8 update issue RRS feed

  • ie 8
    part of a server
    cant access any attachement to emails after  updating to ie8 witout  a word being open
    for user
    no problem with admin rights

    Did you get any error messages when you attempt to open email attachments?

     

    I suggest to perform these tests to troubleshoot the issue:

     

    1 Remove antivirus software and disable firewall on PC

     

    2 Disable all add-ons in IE8

     

    3 Set “program access and computer defaults” in default programs

    1)    Click Start, input Default Programs in Search box and press Enter

    2)    Click Set program access and computer defaults

    3)    Click Custom, and select your mail client (for example, Microsoft Outlook)

    4)    Click OK

    Also set “Set your Default Programs” in default programs

    1)    Click Start, input Default Programs in Search box and press Enter

    2)    Click on Set your Default Programs and set Outlook (or your email client) as the default email program.

     

    If the issue persists, I suggest to ask outlook forum for further help:
