Can't start windows RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have replaced my hard drive because of warnings of imminent failure. I recovered the original status on the new drive. I can see in the DOS command that Windows is loaded on the hard drive but can't start it. When I try to start it I get a message hat Windows cannot start due to hard ware problems. If I try to start it from DOS I get a message that a program needed to start it is not found. Asks me to provide a program or associate it. When I put the original failing hard drive back in, it starts fine. Any advice?
