How did you select the recipient when sending this group letter? If possible, could you please provide a screenshot about the issue?
When sending email, please click X to remove the old cached email address for this Group. Then click To button and re-add this group from Address Book.

In Address Book, you can also right-click this group, select Properties and check the group member to confirm if the contact is removed from this group.
