VPN Site-to-Site using PPTP between TMG and ISA 2004 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

We are trying to make a VPN Site-to-Site connection between TMG and ISA 2004, and we are getting an error in Application log of TMG that say:

The Forefront TMG computer specified as the connection owner for VPN site-to-site network XXX is not valid. Either the connection owner is not configured in the array, or the specified computer was removed from the array. This network will be disabled.

The ISA 2004 has SP3 and the TMG has SP1 installed. Both are Standard Edition.

We know that the problem is on TMG side, because the ISA 2004 has his VPN Site-to-Site connection with another ISA Server without problems, and now we want to use the same VPN connection with the TMG.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Well,

after doing some tests, we found a solution.

The solution was to delete the remote network and all the related rules, and recreate it.

After that we had the VPN Connection working without any issue.

We think that the problem was because the remote network was imported from a server with ISA 2004 that the customer is replacing with TMG. Is possible that the import was not as expected.
