Star Wars: Empire at War Forces of Corruption expansion RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello

I installed Star Wars: Empire at War without a problem. Ran perfectly.

The problem came, however, when I installed the Forces of Corruption expansion. The game will start up, and freeze at the first screen, displaying the message: An exception has occured. See _logfile.txt and _except.txt for details.

What went wrong, and is there anyway to fix this?

    Thanks for your post!

According to your description, the freezing comes after you installed the Forces of Corruption expansion. This link concludes some known bugs and solutions of this game http://news.softpedia.com/news/Star-Wars-Empire-at-War-Forces-of-Corruption-Known-Bugs-and-Solutions-50104.shtml

However, this Windows 7 Forum is focusing on answering usage-related questions about Windows 7, please contact the game manufacture for further investigation.

The manufacturer is www.lucasarts.com. Perhaps if you go there, armed with the error messages from the logfiles that you mention, you'll find something that's helpful.

Looks like the game pre-dates Windows 7, but as it is intended to run under Vista (including X64), it may run under 7.
