Server 2012 - We couldn't install Windows in the location you chose 0X80300024 RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I had the RC of Server 2012 installed for a while and decided to install the RTM version tonight. My OS drive was a RAID 1 mirror on a 250GB partition, I deleted the mirror and re-created it, then ran the install of a DVD I burned. I can create the OS partition on Drive 0 Partition 1, but when I click Next to install I get:

We couldn't install Windows in the location you chose. Please check your media drive. Here's more info about what happened: 0x80300024

I searched all over and just can't find anything that explains this error. Anyone have any ideas?

First off, your answer makes no sense.

Secondly, you realize you're responding to 6 year old post right?
