File does not work RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

My client got below problem when they are using Win 7 Pro and office home & Business 2013 together on their PC.

It's taking for long time to appear when they open more than 4 files of Excel and PPT and at that time some file doesn't appear properly.

It still has the same error after uninstalled Ms office.

    Could you advise?

  • Hi Su,

Based on your description, >>It still has the same error after uninstalled Ms office<<, did you mean you uninstalled the Office and reinstall the Office? Which version of Office are you using? 32bit or 64 bit?

First I suggest you turn off Hardware Graphics Acceleration in Office 2013. There are 2 methods to turn off this option, by using UI settings in Office apps and Using Registry Editor.

Please refer to this link to get more information:

If your file is large or contains a large amount of features, it is possible you are running low on available memory resources. If you work with extremely large data sets, the 64-bit version of Office may perform better for you. 32-bit office you run are limited to making use of only 2GB of RAM.

    Please refer to this article:

If you get any error messages please post the whole messages here.

Please try these methods and let me know if they work. I’m glad to help and follow up your reply.

It's recommended to download and install Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office programs.
