Storage Spaces does not show "Change" option RRS feed

  • Question

  • After my Storage pool filled up, I was able to successfully add new drives, but the new "pool capacity" which does reflect in "Storage Spaces" (38.1TB) does not reflect in Windows Explorer (still showing 14.5TB).

After searching online, I learned that this is likely because Storage Spaces does not automatically expand the pool capacity from what was originally specified when created (even though it does display that capacity in the tool).  Windows apparently expects you to add the drive to the pool, then click the "Change" button for the storage space to enter a new pool size.

Unfortunately, Storage Spaces does not show the "Change" button, and I wasn't able to find any possible explanation online.
