Install MRO 3.3.1 without admin rights? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am relatively new to MRO and installed 3.3.0 without admin rights to a folder other than Program Files. The MSI installer for 3.3.1 doesn't let me do this. Any advice on how to get past this?

    Thanks!

  • For Microsoft R Open 3.3.1, the admin rights are needed for access to local machine's registry hive. If you can install to any machine as administrator, you should be able to simply zip your installation directory (typically, C:\Program Files\Microsoft\MRO-3.3.1), then copy that zip file to whatever location you desire, unzip it, and run from there.
