We recently upgraded our Office from 2010 to 2016. Some Users have an issue that der
Conversation History only stays in the Folder for a month and then disappears.

Skype Client has not been changed (2016)

    Exchange 2010

    Office 2016

What changes do i have to make, to keep the entire History?

    Kind Regards

    Philip

  • Hi Philip,

Do you mean the conversation history folder only show the latest conversations for a month in those users’ Outlook client?

If understanding is correct, I suggest you need to check whether setting some rules/policies in Outlook and Exchange Server. As you know, the conversation history is stored in the Exchange Server, please check whether some polices make Outlook only store conversation history for only the latest one month.

In addition, you could also try the following actions:
    1. Check the SFB and Outlook version, please update the SFB and Outlook to the latest version.
    2. Delete the SFB cache files as below:
    a. SFB client cache file: %Userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync\sip_XXXXX
    b. SFB Registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync\sip_XXXXX
    3. Delete then recreate Conversation History folder in Outlook, then check again.
    4. If this issue also occurs, recreate Outlook profile, then check again.

    Best Regards,
    Evan Jiang
