Branch Cache .PST and Access files

Hello,

We're implementing branch cache and I have a question. Does branch cache in 2008 cache .pst files? Users in the remote office are worried about losing data. Same with access. We might be upsizing their access databases to MS SQL for that part though.

Also, if the BC server goes down, users just route to the main file server in our data center?

Hi,

PST files aren't cached by BranchCache. Outlook has its own caching mechanism.
