DPM 2010 doesn't remove old recovery point RRS feed

  • I have installed   dpm201 qfe7 on windows 2008 r2. It doesn't delete old
    recovery points. When I manualy start  pruneshadowcopiesDpm2010.ps1, I
    have got this error:



    remove-recoverypoint : Length cannot be less than zero.

    Parameter name: length

    At C:\Program Files\Microsoft DPM\DPM\bin\pruneshadowcopiesDpm2010.ps1:350 char

    When I try to manualy delete any RP, I am getting the same error.

  • Please be aware that if you installs either of the following WMI updates on a DPM 2010 server, that some DPM power shell scripts may no longer work.

    Some scripts will fail with an ArgumentOutOfrangeException.  I believe that Pruneshadowcopies2010.ps1 is one such script that will fail.
