APPV 5.0 SP1 , What is the standard process in APPV 5.0 to give permission? RRS feed

  • Question

  • We had Enforce security descriptor in APPV 4.6 , for applying permission.

In case APPV 5.0 SP1 , What is the standard process in APPV 5.0 to give full permission to user , in case of application registry under HKLM or some folders ?

  • Hello,

There is no feature to achieve that within App-V 5 SP1 (or SP2).

    See this workaround;

  • Hello,

    Thanks for your response.

We were gone through this link earlier

This is related to file permission , but how we could handle registry permission ?

  • Hello,

If you require special permissions within the registry there is no workaround available.

I haven't seen a case where you would need it though...?

  • Hello,

I'm sequencing Adobe Photoshop Elements 11.

I need to set up permissions for limited user.

Has someone found other way than http://packageology.com/2013/06/file-permissions-app-v-5/

I would like permissions to be applied for first time user starts application so he do not get application error.

  • With my serial key I didnt faced any licensing issues.

I was able to run sequenced package on different machine from different user just fine.

    Only need to apply permissions.
