  • Hello,

Thought I'd share my findings with this error.  I see your post is from 2015.

I have spent 12+hours on Server 2012 R2 with WSUS installed and 2012 R2 + 2016 Servers failing to update with error 0x80244019. They search WSUS and detect an update (e.g. 2018-01 Security Update) but when pressing Install, it instantly fails!

Just so happened to look at a screenshot in another google result of the IIS Content folder (actually a shortcut!) I checked its path and it was \server\WSUSstore\WsusContent (default install path on C:\) however I installed WSUS fresh and the WSUSstore is on d:\WSUSStore\WsusContent\.

So I changed that path and BANG. it came to life.

    Learning never stops!
