Search feature cannot working in outlook 2013 which connected MS Exchange Server RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am using Office 2013 to connect to MS Exchange Server for 2 years and it works fine, but it has recently been unable to search for existing emails. I have tried to rebuild Outlook's index file several times, but it still doesn't work. Please solve this problem as soon as possible. thank you very much!

  • Hi Golden Rich,

By "unable to search for existing emails", do you mean the result is incomplete or you receive "No matches found"?
Have you checked if there is any difference when switching between Exchange Online mode and Cached mode?

Please go to Indexing Options, verify if the indexing is complete and Microsoft Outlook is listed in the index LOCATIONS:

Besides, please click the Advanced button in the image above, select the File types tab, scroll down and make sure msg is selected, ensure that the Index Properties and File Contents option is enabled.

If the above doesn't work, please try creating a new Outlook profile and see the result.

    Hope this can be helpful.

    Regards,

    Yuki Sun
