  • Hi Jitender,

According to the official document, it seems no order requirements between “Prepare Domain” and run “Grant-CsSetupPermission”.

When publishing Topology, it needs to have the permissions that enable members of the RTCUniversalServerAdmins group.

For more details, please refer to:

  • Hi Jitender,

You can prepare domain without the permissions.

However, the domain preparation that takes place when you install Skype for Business Server does not automatically add the permissions that enable members of the RTCUniversalServerAdmins group to run the Enable-CsTopology cmdlet.

  • Here I will provide a brief and temporary summary of this post.

    <Request/Expectation>:

We need to "prepare domain" and need to run setup with and need to delegate permission to RTCUniversalServerAdmin to act as Domain Admin through Grant-CsSetupPermission on specific OU.

Can we "prepare domain" after run the command Grant-CsSetupPermission?

    <Suggestion>:

According to the official document, it seems no order requirements between “Prepare Domain” and run “Grant-CsSetupPermission”.

When publishing Topology, it needs to have the permissions that enable members of the RTCUniversalServerAdmins group.
