External users cannot open documents that are protected by rms sharing app RRS feed

  • Hi,

    We have Exchange 2010 hybrid deployment, We have activated our Azure RMS through Office 365. When we use rms sharing app to send protected documents to users inside our organization they can open the documents, but when we use the rms sharing app  to send the protected documents to other organizations they cannot open the documents. They keep getting the following message:

    "To create and consume content with restricted access, this application must connect

    to one of the following URL(s)





    to verify your credentials and download content policies and permissions.


    Selecting the check box below will save your credentials to enable the automatic

    download of rights information for protected content."

    And then when they click OK they get the folloing message:


    you don't have credentials that allow you to open this document. you can request updated permissions from do you want to request updated permissions? change user | yes | no"


    Could you please help me to solve this issue?
