Configuration changes on Edge Server (Lync Server 2010) RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a setup with FE servers and Edge servers. Initially, IP addresses were assigned to the Edge Server external interface and the set up was ok.

    For some reason, I have to changed the IP addresses on the edge servers. I am following the same guide as used initially. I have exported the topology on the FE server and am trying to import on the edge server using the deployment wizard. When I click on "install local configuration store"...I am not getting the option for importing the topology changes. I understand that it is done for the first time and subsequent changes are then replicated using 4443.

    Is there any workaround for importing the topology on edge serves or else how can I confirm if the replication has been successful etc etc.

    Please help.

  • Hi,

    Running the below cmdlet will let you know if your Edge is maintaining its copy correctly;

    Get-CsManagementStoreReplicationStatus
    Kind regards

  • Edge should receive the updates from replication, but you can Import the configuration using the Lync Management Shell on the Edge:

    Import-CsConfiguration -FileName "C:\Config.zip" -LocalStore

  • Hi,

    you can also try

    Invoke-CsManagementstorereplication -FQDN <EDGE Server FQDN>

    this command will replicate all configuration to the Edge server.

  • Hi Hp.harpreet,

    Please run Get-CsManagementStoreReplicationStatus to check the replication statue of Edge server.
