multiple adfs farms one active directory and wap RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a strange requirement that most likely is not even supported. We have two separate adfs configurations under a single active directory domain. There is one web application proxy server that is configured to look at one of the adfs farms. I would like to know can WAP be configured to look at multiple adfs farms? Or is it pretty much one wap to one adfs.

  • Hi,
Based on my research, Web Application Proxy can use AD FS for preauthentication; that is, when you configure web applications to use AD FS preauthentication, unauthenticated client requests are redirected to the AD FS server for authentication and authorization before forwarding the request to the published web application. When planning AD FS for Web Application Proxy deployments, the following is required: At least one AD FS server installed on the Windows Server 2012 R2 operating system. Please see details from: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn383648(v=ws.11).aspx
In addition, since the question is related to ADFS, we suggest that you could post your questions in ADFS forum:
