Link in email notification RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I would like to add a link to a incident in the console in the email notification when a incident is assigned to someone.

Because incident are not shown on the portal the analyst will need time to search the incident in the console so i was wondering if it is just possible to add the link to it in the email.

    thx

    Daniela

  • <a href="https://portal/EndUser/RequestDetails.aspx?RequestsId=$Context/?$Id$?&RequestType=incident">incident</a>

  • The URL https://<portalserver>/EndUser/RequestDetails.aspx?RequestsId=$Context/?$Id$?&RequestType=incident works fine here.

But you have to change the name of the server which is running the SCSM portal to your SCSM portal server -> <portalserver> ;-)

  • Anton and Andreas,

Perfect - exactly what I was looking for and it works like a champ.

I simply copied the URL https://<portalserver>/EndUser/RequestDetails.aspx?RequestsId=$Context/?$Id$?&RequestType=incident into my email template. However I wonder if there is a way to create this URL by using the  "Insert' button in the Template Design area.

I tried but I was not able to find the right property. So I wonder if it even exists in the list of available properties.

    Thank you

  • Hi,

Ok, but there is absolutily no use of it because you can not do anything with it. I can send this info in email notification. My point was to add a link (if possible) to SCSM console not to the portal.

    Thx anyway,

    Daniela

  • Now i got it.

There is no chance to send a link of an incident, any other work item or configuration item class of the SCSM console.

Only option you have is to link to the SCSM EndUser Portal or SCSM Analyst Portal.
