Strange Notificaion Area Problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello to all.

I have a strange problem with my notification area. (Windows 7 Ultimate x86)

I can move the icons around and interact with them all fine, but i am not able to drag the icons 'up' to hide them.  The chevron to the left of the area has also disappeared.

I've tried going to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\TrayNotify and removing the DWORDs IconStreams and PastIconsStream - with no effect.

Any ideas what the issue could be?

Everything else on the taskbar works fine.
