  • Question

  • Hi, I know nothing about Sharepoint at the moment but will be getting involved with it soon. Could someone tell me if it is possible / difficult to have a data entry form on a Sharepoint page which can update data stored in an MS SQL server table without having to do any coding.

  • There are four generations of SharePoint and at least two (often 3 or more) products per generation, so which SharePoint product will you "be getting involved with soon"?

Not told by an expert then.

The only SharePoint Team Services is 1.0 (first generation of SharePoint)

You will probably be working with Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 (the third generation of the "free" version).

The good news is that for both of those products you are in the correct set of forums.
