Built in error checker - email addresses on forms RRS feed

  • Question

  • When a form asks for an e-mail address to be input, this new version of IE 10 is making life hell.  What winds up happening is that if you use an e-mail from a small company or a school, IE does not recognize it as being valid and tells you to correct it even though it is correct.  Is there any way around this built in e-mail address checker?  Thanks.

  • Hi,

What kind of Windows are you using now? Windows 7 or Windows 8?

Sometimes, an add-on called "spelling correction" in IE will cause some issues about spelling checker, please click "Manage add-ons "in Tools, if it exists, disable this add-on for a test.

If you're using Windows 8, then, click Charms Bar Settings, Change PC settings, General, find spelling, then turn off spell checker feature for a test, check whether there's something wrong with the checker.
