  • Hi

    I Have one computer that brings together the license glued in the case, but has not written which version of Windows.

    1. How I can know what is the windows with only the license? is there any software or based on the number of license?

    Now the computer don't boot, I put the HD in slave, and copy all relevant data. (the data it's now safe).

    But I need format and install the windows with my license.

    I tried to install windows XP SP3, the license not work, it's correct if I try to install Windows XP SP1 to try again?

  • I called to Microsoft, as suggested here. He could tell me which version of windows represented my key. My problem is solved.

  • The COA is a sticker or a label that is often attached to the body of a computer for products such as Windows or Windows Server. You can typically find the COA sticker on the body of the computer or, for some newer laptops, inside the battery compartment.         

    A genuine COA features the product name printed on the label.
