    Delegation right with full control on OU where Domain Computers are located is one option, I know.

    What best practice in this regard?

    Do you want to add helpdesk users as the member of the local Administrators group on domain client computers?

     

    How about the Group Policy Preference local users and groups settings? You may count on GPP local users and groups settings to add domain users/groups to local Administrators group on clients.
