users folder on client access server RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I noted that the C:\Users folder is completly shared on our Client Access Server and contains a folder for every mailbox

    Is this needed?

    Thank you

  • Hello there,

Usually locally logged in users profile will be there in that path. Are you sure that they are mailboxes entry?

That may be because someone's populating it as the home folder in the
user's NT profile. Have you checked that? Do you have some sort of
provisioning software you use when you create AD users? You don't say
    what's IN the folders, though.

  • Hi Fr0ggy,

If users log on to OWA and change their password, the users' profiles will be created on the CAS server.

  • Thank you for the replies,
all profiles are empty, they just contain standard folders like Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Links etc...

Since the Users folder is visible, should I remove the share or leave as is?

    Thank you
