When I run Nirsoft CurrPorts on the SBS 2011 server, it lists more than 5000 UDP ports for the DNS service. Seems rather a lot. Is this normal?
Yes, DNS servers in windows intentionally use a lot of ports as part of a larger security platform. And SBS is a DNS server.
