Lync set status to 'Inactive' whenever screen is turned off RRS feed

  • Question

  • On one of my Windows 7 SP1 x64 machines (Lync version: 4.0.7577.4103), Lync always sets my status to 'Inactive' when the screen is turned off after idling.

In Lync setting, the setting is 'set my status to inactive after 15 minutes'. In system power setting, I set 'turn off screen after 2 minutes'. Now after I idle for 2 minutes, screen will be turned off, then Lync changes my status 'Inactive' (should do that after 15 minutes).

Is there some way to troubleshoot this issue? Thanks a lot!

  • I believe that is the default behavior so there is nothing to troubleshoot. I also don't believe you can change this behavior.

  • This is the default behavior and it could not be changed. If your screen is lockt, the status will allways be changed to inactive.
