DPM 2016 Storage Pool is Full RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a System Center Data Protection Manager 2016 (Version: 5.0.158.0), installed on Windows Server 2016. SQL Server 2014 installed on the same server.

Disk Storage attached is 14 TB (Raid 5, 4 Disks).

I am taking backup total around 192 data sources. the retention is different and divided to 7 days, 3 days and 2 days. Express Full Backup Weekly.

But I can assure you that the total of the protected servers sizes are not more than 5 TB.

The storage that I have is 14 TB, it shows in Disk management that I have 70% free (10431 GB). But in DPM it shows it full as you can see in the below image.

    DPM Storage Size.

    What is going on?

    Thanks in advanced

  • This is DPM 2016 RTM. DPM 2016 was really buggy when it was released. Update to the latest update, that is currently rollup 4 as soon as possible.
