Setting up a send-only email account RRS feed

  • Question

  • Exchange 2007 SP1

Is there any kind of configuration that allows to set up a mailbox with "send only permissions"?

I looked through the forums and saw something about simply configurating a transport rule to drop any emails to this user, but I was wondering if there was other options?

  • I don't think you can do this without a Transport rule. Simply create a simple transport rule like if the sender is user@domain.com, send back an NDR or simpley drop etc..

  • Can you describe your requirements in detail?

Internal versus external sending rights, etc....

  • I don't know what to detail.

I would just like to know if it's possible to restrict the actions.  I would want something with "full send rights", but "no receiving rights".

I'd think a search would come across something like this already, so maybe it isn't possible.
