Hi,
Which type of email account are you using? Exchange, POP3 or IMAP?
It could be that the the folder view of the Sent Items folder is corrupted. Please first try starting Outlook with
/cleanviews switch and see whether it helps. To do this, close Outlook, press Win + R to open the Run box, type
outlook /cleanviews and press Enter.
If you are using an Exchange account, we may also try right clicking the Send Items folder, select Properties > General, then click
Clear Offline Items button.
If above doesn't work, we may also try to log onto the webmail interface of your email account, then, go to Sent Items folder and delete the first sent mail in the folder. After that, test it again in Outlook to see the result.
