Calendar issue with DST

    Question

  • Hello,

we are running Outlook 2016 and Exchange 2016 CU2. One of users' calendar has weird issue: Some (not all) of her Outlook Calendar appointments are off an hour due to DST. We have checked her Workstation, Outlook Time zone settings all looks fine. Login to OWA, the issue still exists. Create new Outlook profile on a different PC that works other users, the issue still exists with the user. Download OutlookTimeZoneMove.exe, it didn't find anything with the time shifted meetings. Any ideas?

    TIA

  • Hi,

I noticed that the issue persists when login to OWA. Please keep Outlook 2016 closing, then send a test meeting or create test appointment in this user's Calendar, confirm if the time is off an hour or not.

Make sure the Time Zone setting for this mailbox in OWA is configured correctly and same as others who are working fine with Calendar items. If the issue persists though all configurations are correct, please try to move this mailbox to another database in Exchange server to have a try.

    Regards,

    Winnie Liang

  • Hello Winnie,

Thank you for your reply and suggestions. For new meetings, time zone settings are all OK. This one hour time off only happens some of existing recurrence meetings. I did move her mailbox to a different mailbox database on a different server, this doesn't help either. We found out only if the organizer send an meeting update to her now, this would fix the issue. She has so many meetings, and some of them with big number of attendees. She has missed some of meetings since she is not sure what time it should be since some of them are right and some of them not right. The interesting thing is from her iPhone, it does display the off set meetings as meeting time  (UTC-5  New York 9:30 AM, correct time), however, the meeting is siting at 10:30 AM time slot on her iPhone. I checked her iPhone that time zone is correct.
