    i have the same problem has the other. i try to update and the same error happens over and over... "WindowsUpdate_8024200D" i been having this problem since long time ago. can you please help me. Thank You

    Hi,

    It may occur due to conflict with certain third party software, it is suggested to prepare with clean boot and try again.

    Hello, 

    proceed like that:

    • Run chkdsk /r /f
    • Run sfc /scannow
    • Downlaod and install the System Update Readiness tool for Windows Vista http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821
    • Reset Windows Updates components
    • Disable all security softwares and firewalls
