Exchange 2007/Outlook 2007 receiving garbled email

Question
-
My Exchange 2007 email environment consists of 2 hub transports, 2 mailbox servers in a CCR cluster and third party spam filter. I am not using Edge transport. I have disabled Content Filter and SenderID filter on the Hub Transport servers. I am receiving random garbled emails from random domains. Here is an example of what I am receiving in the body of the email. I am leaning toward Content-type problem or MIME type. I have enabled a transport rule that has header CONTENT-TYPE value= multipart/mixed. After it was enabled the email came in blank.
Here is an example of the message body:

Can someone please let me know what settings to check or if anyone has experienced this? I have installed Rollup 9 for Exchange 2007 SP1 for all 4 servers and still get the same resultTuesday, September 15, 2009 6:56 PM

Hi,
Before going on, I would like to confirm the following questions:
1, Is the same issue also occurring in OWA?
2, Whether the internal email has the issue or just Internet email?
3, Whether all user have this issue or just certain user?
Please let the sender to send the email to reproduce this issue on the premise of CC another user, then check whether two recipients have the same issue.
Thanks

Do you have any Antispam/Antivirus server between your server and internet? if so it would be possible that it might be changing the content of emails

I too am having this same issue. It seems that the emails affected are coming from servers running Exchange 2010. I have confirmed this to be the case with two senders whose messages are garbled when they arrive into our Exchange 2007 server. We are using the Securence spam filtering service, but don't think this is the cause.
All users receiving on our end are affected. OWA also shows the message garbled. It affects incoming email from the Internet.

Our issue was resolved by installing the latest service pack on our Exchange 2007 server.Tuesday, May 18, 2010 4:08 AM
