Set Baseline command not working RRS feed

  • Question

  • MS Project 2013 Standard. Consolidated project, 14 inserted subprojects.

Clear baseline. Set Baseline. Insert column "Baseline Start"

Subproject title rows show date in column "Baseline Start"

ALL tasks, including summary tasks, show "NA" for "Baseline Start"

I've cycled Clear, Set a couple times. Looked at individual subprojects. No Baseline data in any baseline field. "Baseline Finish" - NA. "Baseline Duration" = 0?

    Ideas?

  • Idea: Have you tried setting the baseline for each sub-project?

  • Dave,

Indeed as Trevor suggests, you must set the baseline of each subproject individually. Be advised that in a dynamic master, which is the default, the subprojects are not actually part of the master, rather, the master contains pointers to each individual subproject. Therefore, when you set a baseline at master level, you will see the baseline values of summary line insertion points of each subproject show baseline data but none of the subproject tasks themselves, including summary line within those subprojects, will register baseline data.

    Hope this helps.
