Need to delete a Mailbox Database but files were orphanded - Exchange 2010 RRS feed

    I created a mailbox and later deleted the Drive it was installed on.  Somehow, the Administrator account on the server got a mailbox and now I can not delete the old orphanded Mailbox Databse as administrator is configured on it.  Anyone have any idea how to remove the old database reference and or move the administrator to a newly configured mailbox database?

    Try set-mailbox administrator -database otherdatabasename

    This will rehome the mailbox in AD to another database, see if that works.
