It's as the topic says. The problem isn't the fact that i can't hear anything, it's that the computer simply wont even attempt to play music files. I have multiple audio players, and not a single one will play any files. When i attempt to play a file in Windows Media Player, it systematically runs through each individual file in my library and marks it with a little red "X" which im sure means that it thinks it's unreadable. I've tried the following...
-Checked my speakers on various mp3 players...they work... -Rebooted my computer many times -Preformed multiple system restores -Uninstalled and reinstalled every audio player -Installed the newest versions of both my audio driver (Realtek HD Audio) and my video driver (Hauppague WinTV HVR-1600 NTSC/ATSC Combo) -All the solutions in this post: http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2453376&SiteID=17
