Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 Outlook Plugin deployment problem

    Question

  • Hi!

I'm having problems installing the CRM plugin via Group policy. I have used this  technet article to create the correct installation package but the GPO won't install the plugin correctly. Is there some kind of steb-by-step instructions for correct deployment? The installation MSI package is in the PFiles\MSCRM\Client -folder. Should the Default_client_Config reside in the same folder?

  • Hi Rauli,

    Thanks for your post.

The Configuration Wizard file is located in the Client\ConfigWizard folder where Dynamics CRM for Outlook is installed. By default, the folder is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

If a path to the configuration file isn’t specified, the Configuration Wizard looks for the default configuration file (default_client_config.xml) in the non-roaming profile folder (%localappdata%\Microsoft\MSCRM\). If the file isn’t located in the non-roaming profile folder, the Configuration Wizard looks for the folder where Dynamics CRM for Outlook is installed. By default, Dynamics CRM for Outlook is installed in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM folder.
